As we approach the New Year, I find myself reflecting with gratitude on all that this year has brought to Cultivate Initiatives—both as a community of dedicated people and as an organization committed to making a difference.

This month, we’ve been focusing on what it means to cultivate a habit of joy. This is something I see woven into our work every single day. It’s in the smile of a neighbor receiving warm clothes after a cold, wet night. It’s in the pride of an intern being paid for a hard day’s work after a decade away from the workforce. It’s in the friendships being formed, the connections being strengthened, and the lives being changed.

These are not just abstract ideals—they are tangible, real moments of joy that I am privileged to witness. But what makes these moments even more extraordinary is knowing that they wouldn’t be possible without people like you.
