We are thrilled to tell you about an exciting new partnership that will have long-term benefits to our community! Sincelate July, we have been working tirelessly with a cohort of (POIC) construction pre-apprentices on an extraordinary project.

As we listen to our neighbors, we often hear ways we can grow and develop our work. One of the ways we’ve responded is with our housing-focused work now being known as Housing & Homemaking.

Support our initiatives that empower our unhoused neighbors by pledging an amount of your choice for every 1,000 lbs of trash removed during the week of June 24th - 28th.

Gary says that his time being unhoused gave him a deeper appreciation of honesty and sincerity and now wants to be in a position where he is helping others.

We recently hosted our first-ever Cultivate Comedy Hour! This event brought together a diverse group of community members—housed and unhoused, teachers, those staying at the Menlo Park Safe Rest Village, family, friends, and donors.

Beyond the regular scope of my job, I have had the privilege of offering translation support to these neighbors. This resonates with me on a profound level because, like some of the neighbors we assist, I come from an immigrant background. 

Amidst the freezing temperatures and dangerous ice everywhere, our community came together to provide life-saving shelter for our neighbors most in need. We are so grateful for the way our team, other organizations, Multnomah County, and volunteers came together to provide this resource.
